9:00 a.m. Preparing your Vegetable Garden WSU Master Gardener Jon Griffin will discuss what to do in your vegetable garden to prepare it for planting. You will learn when to plant, how to start get an early start and what to takes to maintain healthy plants to get a great harvest.
11:00 a.m. Raising Mason Bees Often overlooked, Mason bees are a wonderful pollinator for fruit trees and gardens. They are easy to keep, start early in the year and offer a 95% pollination rate. WSU Master Gardeners Billie Bevers will discuss how to successfully raise mason bees and how to build bee boxes to attract them.
12:00 Tips to control moles Sadly, all too many property owners know the frustration of having that vision of a beautiful lawn ruined by moles. WSU Master Gardener Bryan Iverson will talk about which techniques are the most effective in getting rid of moles. Bryan will discuss what works and what products fail to get results.

WSU Master Gardeners Phyllis Hull will explain everything you wanted to know about growing roses. You will learn how to get started, when to plant, and how to care for them so they become an annual delight. They will provide a great addition to your landscape as they pop forth with brilliant colors.
12:00 Landscape Professional Landscaper Debbie Caffall, owner of her own landscape business for over 25 years, will lead you through common mistakes made by the novice landscaper. She will show you how to bring texture, form, shape, functionality, balance and color into your landscape. Learn creative design techniques and what to consider when selecting plants.
1:30 p.m. Basics of Composting
WSU Extension agent Gary Fredricks will teach how to effectively compost food wastes and garden material. Learn the different ways to compost and the advantages of each method. Find out how to prepare your garden for next year without spraying or tilling.
